TipLink – Terms of Service

Welcome to TipLink (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using our services—including our website (www.tiplink.co.uk), the TipLink dashboard, QR-based payment features, and any associated services—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the platform.
1. About Us
TipLink Ltd is a UK-registered company providing a digital tipping and recognition platform for individuals in customer-facing roles, including but not limited to couriers, delivery professionals, hospitality staff, service workers, and independent contractors.
TipLink enables users to receive voluntary payments from customers through personalised QR-code payment links and a digital dashboard.
Payments are processed via Stripe Connect. TipLink does not operate as a payment institution, does not hold or custody user funds, and does not provide regulated financial services.
2. Definitions
- User: Any individual registered on TipLink to receive voluntary payments.
- Customer: Any person who makes a voluntary payment to a User.
- Platform: The TipLink website, dashboard, QR payment system, and related services.
- Stripe: The third-party payment processor used to process payments.
- Subscription: The recurring paid plan required to access TipLink features after the free trial period.
3. Key Features of TipLink
- Personal payment page with a unique QR code
- User dashboard with transaction tracking
- Stripe-powered payment processing and payouts
- Optional physical or digital QR materials
- Payment summaries and platform insights
Feature availability may evolve over time.
4. Account Creation and Eligibility
To use TipLink, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate personal details relevant to your role
- Keep your login credentials secure
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where inaccurate information, misuse, or violations of these Terms occur.
5. User Responsibilities
Users must use TipLink ethically, professionally, and lawfully.
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, role, or services
- Pressure, mislead, or coerce customers into making payments
- Create fake profiles or manipulate transactions
- Use the platform in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rules
Users are solely responsible for complying with any applicable tax, employment, or regulatory obligations.
5a. Independent Participation
By using TipLink, you confirm that:
- Your participation is voluntary and initiated by you
- You are not required, directed, or compelled by any employer, platform, or organisation to use TipLink
- TipLink is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating in partnership with any employer or organisation unless explicitly stated
- Any communication with customers via TipLink is made by you personally and at your discretion
5b. Distribution of QR Materials
Any physical or digital TipLink materials must:
- Be presented as optional and personal
- Not be permanently affixed to third-party property or equipment
- Not obstruct labels, instructions, or operational processes
Users must ensure that distribution of materials does not interfere with third-party operations.
6. Subscriptions, Payments & Fees
Subscription Plan
Access to TipLink features requires a paid subscription of £4.99 per month, billed via Stripe.
Free Trial
New users receive a one-month free trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial period to avoid being charged.
Auto-Renewal
After the free trial, the subscription automatically renews on a monthly basis unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Cooling-Off Period
You have a 14-day statutory cooling-off period from the start or renewal of your subscription. During this period, you may cancel and request a full refund, even if the subscription has already started.
Payment Processing
All subscription payments and customer payments are securely processed via Stripe. TipLink does not store payment card details.
Tip Payments & Fees
- Users keep 100% of voluntary payments received from customers
- Stripe processing fees (currently 1.5% + 20p per transaction) apply
- TipLink does not deduct commission from customer payments under the current subscription model
Users may withdraw funds manually or via automated Stripe payouts.
7. Auto-Renewal Reminders
You will receive an email reminder prior to the end of your free trial.
This reminder will include:
- Current pricing
- Subscription details
- Instructions on how to cancel
8. Cancellation, Refunds & Account Deletion
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription:
- Through your TipLink dashboard, or
- By contacting support@tiplink.co.uk
Cancellation stops future charges. Access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise requested.
Refund Policy
- Full refunds are available within the 14-day cooling-off period
- Outside this period, subscription payments are non-refundable
- Cancelling prevents future charges but does not refund the current billing cycle
Stripe processing fees are non-refundable.
Account Deletion
Users may delete their account via the dashboard. Upon deletion:
- Platform access is removed
- Stripe connections are disconnected
Certain records (e.g. transaction logs) may be retained where legally required.
9. Use of the Platform
You agree:
- To use TipLink only for lawful purposes
- Not to interfere with platform security or functionality
- Not to attempt unauthorised access, automation, or system abuse
TipLink may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or violations.
10. Payment Handling
TipLink does not guarantee payment amounts, frequency, or availability.
Payments depend entirely on customer choice and Stripe processing.
11. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including branding, design, QR formats, and software, is owned by TipLink Ltd.
Unauthorised use or reproduction is prohibited.
12. Data & Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR.

TipLink Ltd is registered with the ICO under registration number ZB990350.
13. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
TipLink may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
14. Liability and Disclaimers
TipLink is not liable for:
- Missed or declined payments
- Third-party outages (including Stripe)
- User or customer conduct
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to £100.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
UK courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
