FAQ
What is TipLink?
TipLink is a digital tipping and recognition platform built for individuals in customer-facing roles.
It allows customers to directly recognise and optionally tip the person who provided great service — quickly, transparently, and without friction.
How does TipLink work?
An individual shares their TipLink QR code in a way that suits their role and environment.
Customers scan the code using their phone and are taken directly to that individual’s TipLink page, where they can leave recognition or an optional tip in seconds.
No apps.
No accounts.
No pressure.
Do I need to download an app or create an account to tip?
No.
TipLink works instantly in your browser.
Customers don’t need to download anything or create an account.
Is tipping mandatory?
No.
Tipping is always optional.
Recognition alone is always welcome.
TipLink exists to make appreciation possible — not expected.
Where does the tip go?
Tips go directly to the individual who provided the service.
TipLink does not take a platform commission.
Only Stripe’s standard card processing fee applies.
Customers can also choose to cover the Stripe fee so the individual receives the full amount.
Is TipLink safe to use?
Yes.
All payments are securely processed by Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted payment providers.
TipLink never stores card details.
Can customers leave a message or their name?
Yes — both are optional.
Customers may:
- leave a short message
- add their name
- remain completely anonymous
Only the individual receiving the recognition can see this information.
Can a customer recognise or tip more than once?
Yes.
Customers can return to an individual’s TipLink page at any time to leave additional recognition or tips.
How do individuals receive their money?
All payouts are handled through Stripe.
Once a tip clears Stripe’s standard settlement period:
- individuals can withdraw manually at any time, or
- enable automatic daily or weekly payouts
Funds are sent directly to the individual’s connected bank account.
Are there any fees?
TipLink does not take a commission.
Stripe applies a standard processing fee (e.g. in the UK: 1.5% + 20p per transaction).
Customers can choose to cover this fee at checkout if they wish.
Does TipLink charge a subscription?
Yes.
Individuals subscribe to access their personal TipLink platform and features.
This allows TipLink to remain commission-free while supporting platform maintenance, payouts, and support.
Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes.
You can cancel at any time through your dashboard.
Your TipLink remains active until the end of your current billing period.
Do I need employer approval to use TipLink?

TipLink operates independently of employers.
There is:
- no approval required
- no integration
- no employer involvement
Individuals choose how and when they use it.

Personal data is processed securely and only for the purposes of providing the service.
